Segment Intro Music for TWiT.tv’s Tech News Today

This is just a quick post that after years of being a fan and listener to Leo LaPorte’s various technology news and information vehicles, I had the opportunity to create some music stings for one of their netcasts, “Tech News Today”.  This past year included the ongoing litigation blitzkrieg dubbed the “Patent Wars”, with technology companies suing one another for patent protections, infringements, interventions, injunctions, and just about anything else.  The production team at Tech News Today put together a short video to introduce this segment, and I added an over-the-top music track to amp up the intensity (the video was in the style of a Daily Show or Colbert Report segment intro).

This process then repeated itself in August when Tech News Today decided to start a segment on the use of technology in the 2012 presidential elections. This segment, called “Techlection 2012” has now premiered and will be used occasionally throughout the next two months. I again provided the music track for this video bumper.  This time the music was an 8-bit rendition of “Hail to the Chief” and a speak-n-spell chant of “USA! USA!”.

Tune in to live.twit.tv weekday mornings at 10am PST to get the latest news and discussion of tech and perhaps catch a “Patent Wars” or “Techlection 2012” segment.
